On September 4, 2020, stage 1 of what was then Sweden's largest solar park was inaugurated. During 20 intensive months, the field was transformed into a production facility. During the summer months, the whole of Strängnäs is powered by solar energy during the day. The park has been built on behalf of HSB Södermanland, which in turn offers HSB condominium associations to be able to buy shares in the park.
